Carlyle House offers the perfect place to stop on your journey. Ecclefechan sits on Junction 19 of the M74 and is centrally located in the UK and is a perfect resting place for those travelling north or south or wishing to explore Dumfries & Galloway.
We are also a great stop off for cyclists and walkers alike! Route 74 of the National Cycle Route passes the door.
Carlyle House offers the ideal place to stay and explore both locally and further afield, we are just over an hours drive from the Lake District, and there are good rail links from the nearby Lockerbie Station - it is an Hour on the train to the centre of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Oxenholm in the Lake District.
Accommodation and Facilities
We offer a choice of either a double or twin room and can accommodate parties of up to six people; facilities include private bathrooms, Wifi, television, provision for tea & coffee, hairdryer.
Breakfast is included, offering a selection of cereals, toast with home made preserves, fruit, yoghurt, tea & coffee and an option of a cooked breakfast with eggs from our own hens.
